Butternut squash

The farmer across the road has a field full of butternut squash, which he has not totally harvested, he has taken what he wants and left the rest, so off I toddled and picked half a dozen. I gave some to neighbours and have made copious amounts of butternut squash and chilli soup, all now residing in the freezer.

I had a cooking day today, as well as the soup, I did sausage and mash, with onion gravy for tea tonight, the sausages are proper ones, home made by the local butcher, not these wishy washy cheap ones from the supermarket, I have also made a cottage pie, that's for Thursday nights tea.

Good news that the twins are now in proper cots, I can't wait to see them.
