Blue Skies...

What a day of contrasts. Rain and wind again this morning, but so sunny and warm this afternoon.

The wind overnight had brought down my bird feeder. It had been leaning like the Tower of Pisa for a while so didn't need much else to bring it down completely.

I decided I'd walked enough in the rain for this week so waited for the better weather this afternoon. I was truly rewarded with beautiful light, blue skies and fantastic autumn colours. I even spotted a Red Admiral butterfly taking in the warm sunshine.

I even went back to my secret Horse Chestnut tree - more conkers to collect!!

But it was the wispy clouds in the blue skies that drew my attention.
