Lady Chapel

I needed some head space, and I hadn't been in the Cathedral for a wander since January. There was an organ recital going on, and the intensity of the bass notes in the Lady Chapel at the east end was something else; it really seemed to hit the resonant frequency, filling the whole space.

The stonework of this window is dated c.1280.

And I was the only one there; all the audience were sat listening in the nave, and they were missing out.

As I was leaving I noticed a sign saying no photography. Ooops.
