Aromatherapy

Went for a stroll around the bottom paddock this evening (with the assistance of a stubbie of Strongbow dry cider ... it's been quite an emotional day). There were also no fewer than 10 wallabies knocking around (obviously coming closer to the house in search of feed because of the dry spell we are having).

All my newly planted trees are doing fine. No deaths and no noticeable growth with the exception of the white cedar I saved from the middle of the bonfire which is going gangbusters now it is able to breathe and has been heavily mulched. Very gratifying to see.

Walking up to the house and I was overcome with the perfume of a frangipani. What surprised me was that this 'tree' was a branch a few weeks ago that I pruned and just stuck in the ground. Not only has it survived but it's flowering.
