Running in the rain...

...which seemed to suit a mono on a dull day.

In order to attend public health clinics or the dentist in Naracoorte involves a bus there from Bordertown on a Monday and a stay over at the Naracoorte Hotel until Tuesday to get the community bus return that leaves at 2.30 in the afternoon...the public dentist only operates on Tuesdays and Thursdays.

Can it be any wonder it has taken from when I first telephoned to ask for an emergency dental visit (in May) until yesterday to establish where I am at in particular regard of that original telephone call?

Meanwhile, it is a convoluted story why this has taken until now after several seriously time-wasting in my view visits that we arrive at an understanding between us, which first is yesterday I secured agreement from the dentist there was nothing "straight forward or simple" as had been suggested to me about the proposed extraction...of that same tooth...scheduled for yesterday.

Whereupon I secured another agreement with my view that the scheduled extraction was inappropriate in the circumstances by pointing out my concerns about the removal of the tooth and asking what would the dentist do ("yes, ... wouldn't touch it") and I left with tooth mercifully intact to consider my options.

Public dentistry in Australia is a subject I was once closely engaged in as a consumer. My disappointment at having made little difference regardless my time and contribution to the status of public dental is very great.
