Adventures...
...Day Four - the rain will stop if you tell it to...
Albert's Little Brother was left to his own devices today. It was raining again this morning, so in order to teach the weather a lesson, he stayed in bed and got some reading done. Albert's Little Brother has been reading about a hundred year old man who had many adventures, so he now sees himself as quite the adventurer!
So, once the rain seemed to stop for sometime, he headed out and decided that except for two right turns, he would always head left. This was working fairly well and he did end up seeing The Needles in all their glory, if a little greyer than usual due to the weather.
Albert's Little Brother then headed off into Cowes once more to catch the fast passenger ferry to Southampton. It is only a 25 minute ride, but through the sea spray on the window, he started to see some of his thoughts far more clearly. It was as if the clouds in his head had lifted like the rain clouds had.
Albert's Little Brother realised that he was lonely. Not only was he missing his big brother, but he was missing others who are important in his life, and he realised that he'd been making himself a little lonely by not seeing all his friends when he could. He started to think that you have to be careful in this life, because you could miss out on so much by not taking risks, not going on adventures, not meeting new people and not reconnecting with good friends.
So Albert's Little Brother resolved to change that. He started straight away by charming some waitresses in a restaurant and by meeting a new person, who turned out to have similar interests and was very nice.
As he curled up in bed, he had a chat with himself and promised to make more of an effort with himself from now on. He wanted to be like his big brother, strong and confident. He realised that eventually if it rained enough there Truly would be a rainbow to brighten his life.
That is all.
