Wimpole at War Weekend 2013

Our first attempt at dressing the part. We visited Wimpole dressed in 40's clothing and yes I aquired a new hat! We decided to go down the route of farm labourer and wife look. Mister wore his outfit that we had brought at Ramsey and I aquired another hat and a knitted waistcoat from our favourite vintage stall which had a pop up shop at Wimpole Hall.
We saw reanactors, dancers and singers all 40's of course. The sun shone and we got discovered by fellow villagers in our attire. They assured us our secret was safe with them.
The thing with doing this vintage dressing on these weekends is you can forget where you are until you go out of the gate of whatever event it is.
