Château de la Cazine

Arrived this afternoon at this château near Limoges for an overnight and gourmet dinner in early celebration of our 23rd wedding anniversary.

Our room overlooks a beautiful lake around which we took a leisurely walk before the light began to fade. A siesta, aperitifs in the bar, then dinner. An ideal way to wind down after the festival at Cognac. In just over a week I'll be on the road again - this time to the Isle of Lewis to launch "Hebrides", then London for lunch with the reviewers from the major papers.
