Evening at Birdlings Flat

Not that you'd know it from this image, but the oncoming southerly change and strong offshore breeze whipped up the waves at Birdlings Flat this evening.

But tonight I wanted to try and give it a placid nature, so I attached a 6 stop ND filter to smooth out the ocean and turn a imposing sky into a pastel wash.

The Oystercatchers weren't that fussed about moving as you can see - barely a blur over a 25 second exposure! I don't blame them in this wind...
