Happy Birthday To Me....

Today I am 51. It doesn't seem a year since I didn't notice turning 50 in Rome.

This year we are in Ephesus, at the crack of dawn, on my birthday. 8 of us, a guide and the resident cats.

This picture looks a bit boring, right, but unless you have been here in the summer when it is 100 degrees and heaving with tourists. you can't really appreciate the beauty of the place on a cool September morning, when it first opens, and you and the cats are the only ones there. Look at the empty road leading to the Library Of Celsius.

Absolutely brilliant!

I had a great birthday, but will never be able to come back here as it will never be this good again.

What a brilliant, once in a lifetime birthday present!
