Lynette

Lynette is my hairdresser. She also works at Salt Spring Island Cheese.. I had to pick something up from her today, so we went to the cheese place for the first time - hard to believe, since it's been open for 18 years! It was interesting to look through the viewing windows to see the cheese being made. The small shop is full of many different varieties of cheese that are made here and several products to accompany them. There were plenty of samples. Here, Lynette's showing me one that she thinks I might like. I don't particularly like goat cheese, but there were a couple that were quite good. We ended up buying some cubes that are marinated in garlic and herbs, a jar of red pepper jelly, and a tub of tapenade. The jelly and tapenade are also made on the island.

Yesterday oysters, today goat cheese! What will I try next?
