Loch Rannoch

I enjoyed a great day out today with a very full agenda. We initially travelled to the wildlife visitors' centre at Dunkeld in an attempt to shoot red squirrels but despite enticements of food, there was no show from the woods.

We then went to an adjacent hide to view waterfowl but not much seemed to be happening there either! However, I did get to capture the Osprey nest across Loch Lowes even if the Osprey had long since vacated their home and won't be returning until spring 2014.

Oh well, the next stop was Pitlochry and on to Loch Tummel and past Queens View. By this time the weather had turned and it seemed the rain was there to stay. Undeterred, we ventured on to Loch Ranoch where a break in the weather brought today's blip.
