The flying peacock

Today was a relaxing day - not carrying any heavy bags and certainly not going up any hills or steps.
Instead we went for a massage from 'healing hands' - a group of blind Nepalese people who have been trained by British physios in giving massages. My guy must have found an awful lot of knots in the shoulders and calfs, because for parts of it I was in agony! The massage ended with a very risky neck clicking motion, which left me feeling as if I was about to have my spinal cord severed.

For the afternoon we took a rowing boat out across the lake and had some lunch, before getting a cut throat shave at the barbers, doing some shopping and out for another meal..

Across the lake we spent out time waiting for lunch by chasing the hundreds of butterflies that flew around us. Apparently there are over 600 species of butterfly alone in Nepal - this one is the Peacock butterfly I think?
