Go On My Son

I drove to Milton Keynes with one of our son's, Andy, today to watch him race in the DMAX Karting Championships. The heavens opened just as they'd got in the karts for the race, thunder and lightning, hailstones, the works. They quickly took cover and the start was delayed.

The race finally got underway once they'd cleared the largest of the puddles and, with no more rain, the track gradually dried out during the 1 hour race. Andy was happy with his 4th place in a field of 20 plus, especially having avoided any major mishaps and unlike quite a few of his fellow competitors (caught a couple on camera).

The heavy rain returned for much of our 2 hour journey home but it was well worth it, an entertaining day out.
