Traces

I've always been rather fascinated by items linked to railways. This sign (or rather these signs : on the little board closer to the tracks, there are all kinds of information about how to behave safely if you need to cross the tracks) announces railway tracks that have been out of use for many years. The line originally connected the main line from and to Luxembourg city with the factories close to Steinfort. The companies still exist, but nowadays, they rely on lorries to transport their goods.
Which, in my opinion, is a very unsatisfactory decision. The streets in many of small towns are overload with heavy freight traffic. Steinfort is only one example of this development.
