Someone's been here already

Raining when we left Ellon but we still headed to Forvie Nature Reserve for an explore. Fascinating place of cliffs, beach and dunes - with some dunes on top of the cliffs. It was mostly dry until about 15mins before we got back to the car, it's always annoying to get back wet.
There are more, less vegetated dunes, a bit further on from where we got to but we'd already walked quite a way and still had to get back so decided to leave them for another day - but this was a good bit, anyway.
After lunch we had to go from Forvie to Fyvie, and had an interesting guided tour of the castle just for the 2 of us.
It rained most of the rest of the day and night.
