The Scalinger Railing - Portobello, Edinburgh

Another hidden gem found in Portobello!

On the road side is a reproduction by Blacksmiths James Ross and David Greig (1890) of the surrounding iron railings that guard the tombs of the Scalinger at Verona.

Just a glance in their direction gives instant recognition of true iron art. It does not take an expert to realise a work of an artist even in a refection in something stately and Classic.
