A lazy start to a lazy day with everyone sleeping in just a little longer. I reckon the news of break-ins has us all sleeping a little less soundly.

A beautiful stroll in the autumn warmth through the botanics where I set my self the goal of considering black and white and texture in today's shots. I love this barley from the edible garden. It was woven into the roof of the poly tunnel to dry out.

I also love the smell of the ham cooking and the thought of the creamy mash and crunchy cabbage to go with it later. I may even treat myself to a beer.
