Mind The Doors!

Busy day, hence the backblip.

First we went to Bo'ness as part of the 2013 Steam Gala for a ride on a steam train. This was hauled by guest engine, 1744 and we were in carriages from the 1930's period, which had attractive art deco fittings, such as this door handle. Undaunted by the pouring rain, which obscured the view from the windows, assisted by condensation from the exuberant but damp passengers, we travelled to Manuel and back, before wandering round the museum, fortified by refreshments from the café.

On the way to deliver a gift for a new baby (B&S are now Uncle and Aunt) we picked some elderberries to make Elderberry Rob. I had never heard of this until I read Dotty's journal, then looked up recipes on the 'net. What with preparation and cleaning up everything purple I had used up all the evening so was too late to blip. I still have stained fingernails so I hope my efforts are as efficacious as hers.
