Screwball evening of Howard Hawks/Gary Cooper Ball of Fire in old town hall, walked outside after to sound of horns coming from cafe next door, came home to magical night of listening in a shack on top an embankment, with stream below, to new Keith Rowe album and lovely picturesque Too Beautiful to Burn, I had to check outside to see if softly rumbling bass and amplified textures bothered our family guests in tent pitched across the yard but all I could hear were crickets chirping. Figuring no, went back inside, read, listened, closed my eyes, all alone in the rarefied countrified Shelburne night.
