Jane and Cassandra!

A visit to Chawton in Hampshire to show an American visitor and ardent Jane Austen fan around the house Jane lived in whilst writing her best known novels. It was all very cultural and sensible until we found the dressing up box and then a whole new dimension prevailed! A lovely afternoon tea of scones and toasted tea cakes rounded off the day nicely! Definitely recommend this little village and the cottage if you have a couple of hours to spare, lots of personal items, costumes from the Colin Firth film and very soon, THE ring!
