An unusual kind of a day
Today has been a somewhat unusual kind of day. We decided to go out and visit the new Mary Rose museum and the historic Portsmouth Dockyard. Only living across in Gosport - a short ferry journey away we thought we would make the most of something on our doorstep. But on arrival we were faced with an amazingly long queue and pouring rain - so took refuge at Gunwharf quays. So time for a coffee, lunch and a mooch around. The awful part of the day was one family (dad and two children) who thought it was funny to allow his child to continually scream a piercing scream periodically. I am not adverse to having children in restaurants as some people would think I would be. But I do get cross when children are allowed to do this and the mum or dad not only think its acceptable and do nothing but give out funny looks to those who don't enjoy the screaming. Almost in a way of saying that - I have kids and therefore can do what I like! Hate this attitude.
Anyway - ended the day at my sisters and her family for dinner. They were trying out new Italian recipes and wanted to use my hubby and I as guinea pigs. The food was delicious and we had the most enjoyable evening. Arriving home early this morning - that is why last nights blip is appearing this morning. I will be posting my sunday blip later - due to the thundery showers it may be some still life we are going to experiment with later.
Anyway this my sisters dog Brie. She is the most kindest, cutest dog ever. She is getting a lot older and the poor thing has very few teeth now, so thats why her tongue is hanging out the side of her mouth. Brie is just the sweetest thing, but due to genetical health problems her heart murmur is getting worse and she is not getting round as well as she should. So we are not sure how long she will be around. So wanted to capture her as a nice memory (just in case).
Happy sunday one and all!
