Various Stages of Chestnuts

A large Chestnut tree stands on the outer edge of Annie's Cottage's yard. The neighbor's yard is full of special old trees and plants, and this is my favorite. This time of year, Paul and I go around singing, "Chestnuts roasting on an open fire...jack frost nipping at your nose...", yes a bit of Christmas. It springs to each of our minds when we see the tree full of chestnuts.
