"Roses and more Roses"..

...For you...

...Not only do we love the bush tracks along the river or the river itself, but we love to go to this very special hidden gem way out in the bush, not far away, just across the river and around a bit, not far really as the crow flies across the river from us..

...It is called the Australian Inland Botanic Gardens, and what you can see here is just a very small portion of these beautiful gardens, with flowers, shrubs and trees from Australia and as well, from many parts of the world, those which like this country as well..

...So beautiful it is, with just a sea of roses of all different colors and fragrances, all named, there are approximately two thousand of them, in full bloom at the moment..

...Special functions are held here as you can imagine and there is also a Bush Chapel which is a wonderful location for a wedding..and a shearing shed with its rustic charm and historic significance, restored to perfection and brought in to this area from one of the sheep stations outback.. many functions are held here, art/photographic displays as an example..meetings, ceremonies, a nature trail which winds around many acres..mostly run by volunteers - amazing and dedicated aren't they, all country people of the district..

...A coffee shop where we have a lunch or just a drink, and an American Summer House, 7 of those apparently, 11 European Summerhouse beds of flowers, Australian ofcourse, N.Z. Flora beds, and a very old eucalyptus tree over 2,500 years old and as well, an African Mud Brick House, with 8 African Beds of plants...

...Amazing to think the gardens began - only in 1991..and there is also a little train which runs all around the gardens every Saturday...and sometimes on Sunday...

...Yes, it is always a lovely place to visit...and next year, I'll put some of my photographs into the Art/Photography show there - last year - I was pleased to even sell one of them - on the first day too...
