Shadow Side

Went to see the Brownlee boys at Ilkley Literture Festival tonight. Interesting conversation with them both (last year an Olympic Gold and World Championship between them). What struck was less what what said but what wasn't said (Alistair avoided talking about self doubt, Jonny was eager to talk about it) and the contrasts between even their body language. Two outstanding athletes at the peak of their powers, fine Yorkshire lads and more complexity than intitially meets the eye.

Met up with Year of Happy and MrJohn after proceedings for a cheeky drink and caught this shot of MrJohn
