No photographs are allowed at the Mary Queen of Scots exhibition, which was the main purpose of our visit to the National Museum of Scotland, but we also took a quick look around the Kingdom of Scotland section. This was mostly so that Grace could look at the Maiden, an early Scots beheading device. While she indulged her bloodthirsty interest, I looked at the Pictish carved stones. I like this teasing fragment best of all.
