Quite a significant 'Date with History' in today's paper!

As I have admitted many times during my blip year so far I'm a bit of a history geek and my favourite period from the past is the 30+ year block where our country seen 2 world wars! The months and days leading up to both wars were so crucial that I often think they get forgotten about in the wave of drama during the war years!

Neville Chamberlain was an influential man in his own right, particularly when he brought this 'peace in our time' document! But Hitler treated him like a piece of dirt on the sole of his shoe and went to war within the year! I think that Chamberlain, like the pre-war years, get forgotten about because the might of Churchill and his blunt ignorance to give in to the German dictator brought the country through it all!
