Checking for maintenance stop
As a result of my Yesterdays Blip today I had to climb up again to show Herman from the maintenance department how bad the trouble is. We are a bit lucky because only two levers are bent and some bearings are completely worn out because of the heat. They have to be replaced.
The heat is immense, causing the zinc layer of the plates to come of. That's why rust is coming up fast. We are located at the seaside so the salty atmosphere does not do any good to it....
The pieces of alufoil temporary prevent the signalling cables from being heated too much.
The heat is caused by cracks in the duct. The cracks occur because the temperature inside varies fast sometimes.Best thing to do: replace the complete duct by a new one...
