Smoke in the Grose

Overnight on Friday, smoke from the Mount Victoria fire mingled with smoke drifting into the Grose Valley at Blackheath from the Lithgow to Bilpin fire, and this was the result. Not long after sunrise at Evans Point Lookout, you could just make out the lines of the ridges across the Grose Valley.

It's been a tragic week in the Blue Mountains (and elsewhere), and the weather is not going to be on the RFS's side for the next couple of days - maybe even the next week.
