The Daddy of all Standing Stones

Well after the slight disappointment of the trip to Men an Tol last Sunday I couldn't resist a chance to call in to see the Daddy of all Standing Stones - Stonehenge on my way home.

They have started building a new visitor centre about a mile away from the stones, and one of the roads next to the stones has been closed, so I think when all of the changes have been made it will be a lot nicer place to visit,especially when all the traffic is kept away from the site, it will be a lot more peaceful (if you avoid all of the coach trips).

I managed a quick blip with no coach parties in the background of the stones. A rare occurrence even on an overcast autumnal day in October.
