Sun through the cloud

Halfway round my walk with Jasper I looked back and the sun was highlighting the wall and gatepost of the Mas.

Off to the village for a tea in the bar with some of the women, but in particular with E, who is Swiss and likes to chat in English, but that's ok with me. I like her very much, she's the same age as me and we have a lot in common.

When I got back to the village house Steve was waiting for me to help him lift the bottom half of an old 2m long sideboard out of the lounge and into the pantry, but I told him he shouldn't even be thinking about doing that. To move it would have involved more or less up-ending it on the stairs and as he shouldn't be exerting himself too much and I wasn't prepared to risk twisting my knee, we didn't do it. I know he wants to get on with doing stuff, but he can't and that's the end of it.
