Look up, look down, look all around...
When searching for blips, it is a good idea to cast your eyes in all directions. Who would have expected to find this fungus growing on the trunk of a tree about three feet above eye level? I don't actually know what it is, not being an expert on mushrooms, toadstools, and the like, but usually I have seen them growing on the ground in moist places or on decaying tree trunks. Today I happened to look overhead and spotted this specimen sprouting out of the trunk of a tree I was passing. I could hear it calling, "Blip me, blip me," and I did exactly that from several different angles, trying to get the best background. This one was my favorite. I hope you like it too.
