Birthday lunch

A fabulous birthday celebration at the rag for ali made extra special because daddy has had excellent health news from his biopsy. So happy to all be together participating in my favourite pastime of eating.

Dad proudly announced his bowels were in fine form also. Although as mom pointed out - she wasn't sure the whole restaurant needed to hear that as well. We toasted dads healthy bowels.

For the record I had braised lamb shank with red currant and port gravy and creamed mash with leek and bacon. For pudding vanilla rice pudding. Quite possibly in my top five meals I have had in my life. Absolutely stunning. I think I will dream of that meal for weeks now. Maybe it tasted so awesome because I am so happy. The best 6.95 meal ever.

So stuffed after dinner had to walk the boys with mom in the park.

Still stuffed at tea time so settled for a liquid tea and consumed two bottles of wine with Claire at Michelle and boris house ...hic
