Bright lights, big city

Today Glenn & I went down to London for a meeting with Allan & Nick to talk about the Cyclist stuff & to finalize the timescales & that. The train going though was delayed at Nuneaton due to a fatality but we were only delayed an hour so got there in not too bad time. Nick's office is based in CentrePoint (one of the first skyscrapers in London in the 60's according the Wikipedia...) The interior was ace, so quintessensionally 60's & it has automated lifts! Anyway, the meeting was good (& so was the amazing view). Lots more unexpected work was acquired and as always, Allan's chat was entertaining & full of secret scandal. A Philippine meal followed, it was nice but a bit of a coconut overload. On the way back to Euston station, Glenn had me marching like mad woman until he did a dog shit ski on, perhaps, the only dog poo in the city. I creased up laughing & nearly weed myself in the street (not helped by the fact that I needed to toilet already..) I got home close to midnight, Alex was already in bed. The day was long & tiring, but enjoyable.
