Double

Down to the wonderful Barter Books in Alnwick late on this morning - not surprisingly, three of us came out with at least one book each.

Then for a splendid lunch in a little tearoom. Lucy and I opted for the smoked salmon and prawn 'stacks' - generous amounts of the aforementioned fish on a bed of salad, with a delicious sauce, on a piece of home-baked bread! Tom and Mr M's choices were equally huge and delicious! Do wish I'd thought to blip them...

Then off to Craster for a short walk by a rather wild sea and refreshment in a welcoming hostelry. The picture above Mr M's head was the cause for some amusement when Tom pointed out that Mr M is the spitting image of the sailor... All he needs is the sou'wester!
