Start the day this way

This was the sight when I left the house this morning; isn't it beautiful?

Hectic day. "Two steps forward and three back" kind of day but in the middle of the mayhem there was a wonderful moment. I received a charming email from a student's mum thanking me (on behalf of the university) for the work we've done in helping her son work towards his degree. It served as a reminder of why we do what we do and today it arrived at just the right time.

Takeaway tonight for a change; been a very long time since I stopped and picked one up but I decided that I deserved it. Shortly I might also have a glass of beer and if that works out I'll try another. It's Friday amigos. Let's get it on!
