Etna from Castigleone. A Ramblers holiday - staying in a very ordinary non-touristy town called Francavilla de Sicilia. This was the first days walk - up to this little village perched on top of a steep hill. As you see, views fantastic. The cloudy bits on the summit of Etna are in part steam from the crater - last eruption on 2002 swallowed an entire ski resort, so it is still a very active volcano.
