We checked out of our hotel this morning, having had a lazy start to the day. Headed across to Harrod's for a wee look around. Food hall is always worthy of a wander. Kids enjoyed visiting the technology department: huge tvs, iPhone covers with bling, all that sort of stuff.
Train home late afternoon. Arrival in Edinburgh getting later as we travelled until we reached a point when the whole journey cost would be reclaimable due to delay. Fun form filling to look forward to?
Funny conversation with the kids on the way home. They reckon that it's a bit like Goldilocks and the Three Bears. London is "too big". Crail is "too small" and Edinburgh is "just right". Ahh. The best part of travel may just be coming home, then.
"Why, Sir, you find no man, at all intellectual, who is willing to leave London. No, Sir, when a man is tired of London, he is tired of life; for there is in London all that life can afford."
