Down by the River

We're finally on our holi-bobs and have elected to come up to London for a few days.

It's been a mostly lovely day which has involved taking in the National Gallery, a stroll around Trafalgar Square and then across across the river to stroll back along the South Bank.

London truly is an amazing city possessed of a perpetual motion that picks up pace of an evening. I'm always left slightly in awe of it, but always inspired.

We're off to see Spamalot tonight which I am very much looking forward to!

We did have a slight hiccup in that a very rude receptionist at The Regency Hotel told us we had cancelled our booking - I did query with her as to why we would cancel a booking and then turn up at which point she passed us on to someone without an attitude problem and we were able to get it sorted and a free breakfast thrown into the bargain!
