I will always be able
to bound up the stairs with boundless energy.

My ears will be able to hear.
My eyes to see.

My brain will stay sharp
and my mind won’t play tricks on me.

I will never be stuck at the bottom
of the stairs wondering which button
to press as I stare at a chair.
