Family history

This old Georgian teapot passed to me when my mother died. I have always wondered about the history as it is engraved with details of a family member from my father's side.

My 1st Dad died when I was only 3, and there is no contact with his family, so no way of finding anything out. It could perhaps be my paternal grandfather who is mentioned

Not sure if it was a present from work - it is engraved with the following words:- "Presented to J Butterfield, 3rd writer, on the occasion of his marriage, by acting paymaster L Needham R.N,R - 20/08.17". Guess I'll have to do a bit of heir hunting!
