Oh yes, this teachers' strike was a drag: she had to get up later, she had to have a slow, leisurely breakfast, she had to loll (<<- that's the only way I ever use the word) around the sitting room watching CBBC, she had to wear what she wanted, she had to do some messy craft thing at the kitchen table, she had to have lunch with Mum and Dad, she had to go for a walk with the dog along the boardwalk in the sunshine and sit in the sand and skim stones and paddle in the sea and pick up shells and stones and climb into an old boatwreck, she had to photobomb Mum's photos, she had to lie on the trampoline eating a banana she had to play games on Dad's iPad.
