Birthday bakes!

A last minute realisation that it was S's best pal's birthday today meant an early morning batch of Malteser Slice was required.
S had been invited to spend the day with him; we managed to rustle up a card and went with the monetary gift so just a wee tub of his favourite sweet treat was required. L also headed off to see his best friend in Fort William which left me and Caley home alone with great plans for world domination! Did we achieve that? Not quite, lol!
We did recycle. A lot! We shopped. A little. We entertained visitors and most importantly fitted in two walks. I think as far as Caley is concerned we did just fine!

Really easy recipe.
Melt 4oz butter, 8 oz chocolate and 2 tbsp syrup. Add 8 oz crushed digestives and 8oz maltesers. Press into a lined tin and just cover with melted chocolate. Put in the fridge to set and that's it!
