Reform Tower Peterhead
Built on an ancient burial ground around 1832 fragments of
skuls & a cist were found when the foundations were dug, to
commemorate the reform act. Peterhead was a thriving
fishing town, but a lot of businessess have closed down
since the fishing restriction came in, still they fish and most
of the quality fish goes all over the country, and I have to
say it's tasty fish. It's so called the Blue Toon because the
fishermen who founded Peterhead wore blue worsted
stockings, correctly they were called Bluemogganners!! That
is such a strange word. I have taken it at this angle because
I am unreformed or should that be unrefined hahahahaha
Anyhoo we were here this morning to get the car serviced
we walked the whole town the harbour and the quaint Bay
luckily the rain stayed off. The feet at the top are not human
there is a golden Lion on top of the Tower. hope your all
having a great day.You make like to see the feet large.
