I'm almost there. Just one more short flight and I'll be home.
My flights were good, I slept for a large part of the LA - Auckland flight, and watched Monsters University for the two hours I was awake. It was most enjoyable.
I hopped off the plane in Auckland, ran up a corridor, through security and down the other side of the corridor to the plane parked next to where I arrived. I knew I wouldn't miss it, but it was boarding when I got there.
I won't bore you with details of my flights, although I thought it deeply unfair that my short flight had the newer and slightly more comfortable plane.
No luck on getting onto an earlier flight to Hobart, so I've spent a pleasant afternoon in Melbourne, hanging out with a friend, browsing through shops, generally wasting time. The weather's been patchy though, and the airport is ringing out with announcements about delays and gate changes. I looked out to see scary looking clouds a short while ago, but that front has now moved north, and hopefully my trip will be a comfortable one.
Now I must start playing the 'who do I know on my flight today' game. I heard a name I know being paged a short while ago, but I doubt it's a completely uncommon name...
Thank you everyone for your comments yesterday, you're right, it was a fabulous trip and a great coinciding of blipday and trip-end.
