yellow mellow...

...mellow yellow

it's striking - is all i could think - with such a bolt of yellow to shock the day to a start - a bold color is yellow, isn't it? a color i really can't wear - it doesn't go well with my skin tone - but it's clearly a color i like - one i enjoy - for all it brings to the table - it's engaging - you really can't turn away from it, that would be rude - it draws you in - enfolds you - makes you feel alive even when you don't want to - when you'd rather feel like moping about, you can't -

see that's the thing when i bought those flowers the other day - they had this spot of yellow in them - i knew they would add some joy to the coming days - it would be inevitable - even if temperatures remained colder outside - even if my head continues to hurt - even despite my princess diva being grumpy about allowing me to take her picture (yes, i'm trying to update you all on her status - she's doing better - i'd really like to show you how that little sparkle is coming back in her eye - but...) - although gracie doesn't appreciate the flowers - i do - i believe you might as well - since i'm using them as blip opportunities and - well, animals are basically color blind, too, aren't they? so she can't appreciate the whole yellow mellow theme - however - she's meeping at me more these days - which is a good sign and i'll attribute that to the glory of yellow if i want to - and then hey - let's all just call it...
