Birthday Girl

As you can see this is K, the Birthday Girl. She has the world at her feet, but probably doesn't know it. We sang happy birthday to her at 8 o' clock this morning before she went to school. She is going to a movie night at the weekend, with another friend who has a birthday today. K will go to her house in her p j's and watch the movie of choice for a 17 year old. K's birthday cake was a NYPD themed cake. She loves watching the T V series, Castle, and likes to think she is Kate Beckett. I can't believe how fast these last 17 years have gone.
This morning the weather was very wet and windy, but it cleared up after lunch, thank goodness.
