Downpour On Ullswater
I set off from Penrith driving towards the lake and I got to Watermillock when huge rain drops started tumbling. The hazy atmosphere looked like it needed a wash, conditions have been very flat for photographing in the past few days. For this photo I battled with my camera gear, it took a while to get everything set up; tripod, camera, filters all done one handed with the other hand holding an umbrella.
In this photograph I used a 0.3 hard grad and a multi exposure to smooth the water just a little bit. During processing I brought the shadows up from the rock a tiny bit then I cloned out a couple of rocks to give it a clear finish.
