We met by Chance...

I was on my way to Castle Menzies to photograph the Madrona Tree, Arbutus menziesii, and was waylaid by this little guy, who seemed to want to make my acquaintance. I did get the tree, which has a beautiful bark, mixed reds and coppers, and is, it seems, sickly. But the wee Shetland pony won out for blipping -- of course!
