Waihopai Evening

This evening I drove 30 or more kilometres to a property in up the Waihopai Valley. I needed to suss out its exact location as I am leading a Camera Club field trip to the property this coming Sunday. And the leader has to know where she is leading everyone to!
The landscape is incredibly green up the Waihopai Valley at present. Come summer and some hot weather the landscape will change to golden tones. I stopped alongside a vineyard on the way up the valley and captured the last of the evening light on the hills across the flats to the east of the road. The use of a Nik filter gives the landscape a painterly look in my view.
